Tamiya 1/35 German MG Team Mid-WWII

Backordered

Description

During WWII, the German Army employed two types of machine guns, the MG34 and the MG42, as the nucleus of their small arms. These machine guns had powerful firepower and high firing speed. Additionally, using the folding Lafette tripod with its telephoto optical sight helped these machine guns highly functional from a long range. The attachment of loader magazine allowed firing by one soldier. A machine gun team normally had from three to five soldiers: one pair (one gunner and one loader) and other soldiers who carry ammunition, spare gun barrels and tripod. Their mission ranged from defense from enemies to support of troops. With cutting edge molding technology, this model kit figure set authentically captures German machine gun troops during the middle-WWII period. Includes parts for 5 figures in a realistic pose: soldier firing with the MG42, main and sub gunners shooting with the Lafette, a commander supporting them and ammunition carrier replenishing ammunition. Newly molded components have realistic renderings of details such as Lafette and accessories. Ammunition cases are rendered in detail with slide molding.
