Description
Developed for competition racing, the Skyline GT-R (R32) was fitted with a powerhouse 2568 cc inline-six DOHC, 24 valve, twin turbocharged and intercooled 280hp engine. Cutting edge technology such as Nissan’s original ATTESA E-TS variable torque-split 4-wheel drive train, and a SUPER HICAS 4-wheel steering system was used. The R32 is the 1989 version of the legendary GT-R. Outfitted with a 4WD drivetrain, it was mated to a 280hp engine and was loaded with cutting-edge design and technological innovations for its day. There was also a healthy market for customizing parts; principal among the suppliers were Nismo, Nissan’s racing arm. This precision plastic model recreates a customized Skyline GT-R (R32) fitted with a bevy of after-market parts including Nismo offerings. This kit of the classic Skyline GT-R (R32) varies from previous releases as it has brand new parts that depict customizing accessories that were designed and made by Nissan’s tuning outfit Nismo. Such items include 5-spoke wheels, spoiler and mud guards. The interior features realistic parts such as the Nismo 3-spoke steering wheel. Metal-plated represent a highly realistic finish for the muffler, muffler end and turbo system air inlet pipes. Also includes metal transfers that depict Nismo and GR-R emblems and mirror surfaces. The tires are solid synthetic rubber.
