This 1/24 scale kit is a limited re-issue updated version of the Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5. It was(originally motorized in 1978. Now comes with new Cartograf decals, an updated instruction manual and new packaging. The Toyota Celica LB Turbo was a Group 5 car developed for the 1977 DRM (German Racing Championship). Based upon the road car Celica Liftback, the car featured aerodynamic components such as bulging over fenders and rear wing, and employed numerous FRP body panels. An extensively modified body and 2,090cc, 560hp inline-4 DOHC turbo engine were utilized. This car made its debut in July 1977, and in October of the same year, it beat the Porsche 935 and achieved its maiden victory. The kit captures the powerful form with aerodynamic parts such as wide fenders and large rear wing with realistic renderings of details such as cockpit with roll cage, chassis underside and suspension. Mesh wheels are paired with solid synthetic rubber slick tires. Includes a four-language instruction manual, high-quality Cartograf decals, one driver figure and two car numbers.
